Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It's also not able to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding. Its design is less ostentatious than some rival models, and features sleek black finishes and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled. The way in which the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to create a picture of the immovable items that are in its path. It remembers the items it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left. The sleek G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, offers similar battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin that does not require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain.
